During the past year and half, we have seen some interesting events globally. From Mr. Trump taking the office (I refuse to call him my president) to the idiocracy that has been going on in North Korea. We see the Briexit and we might soon see the Calexit as well. The world we live in today seems to be in a giant cluster fuck. This perhaps is the worst shape that the world has been in since World War 2. And all because fools are in control of our society.

The situations in Asia are at a boiling points. On a positive notes, Taiwan's main worry at this point is its economy. With the new president (Tsai Ing-wen)'s strong view against China, Chinese tourist have stop flooding in to Taiwan all together. This cause the economy of Taiwan to decline. Another big reason why Taiwan's economy are doing so hot is that majority of its exports are going toward China, roughly 80 Billion in 2014 (1). With an economy that is so heavily dependent on China, when China's economy slows down so does Taiwan. And its business outsourcing into other country due to lucrative incentive. But like I said, Taiwan is probably more fortunate compares to other countries in Asia.

Korea, South Korea, has been struggling as of late. The economy is slowing down. Its biggest company, Samsung, are under much scrutiny with its microchip factory environment causing people cancer, exploding phones (still strange), slowdown in demands, and often reported inhumane work environment. Another big impact on their economy was the bankruptcy of Hanjin's bankruptcy in 2016 (officially bankrupt in 2017). However, the good news is that their car exports are doing well. On the political side, the big scandal by the former president Park Geun-hye was probably the biggest story as of late, but compare to S. Korea's North Korea problem it doesn’t seem like a big deal.

North Korea, the one rogue state of Asia, have caused so many problem for not just the South but rest of the world. Why? Because they have a fool that's running the country. North Korea have been relatively peaceful (comparing to its current state). But with the passing away of its previous "supreme" leader Kim Jong-il, he's son Kim Jong-un took office. Currently, he is only 33 years old. Young and immature, he began to test the limits of United States and rest of the world by performing nuclear test. At the current state of things, it is very likely a war will break out soon. Few weeks ago, North Korea had launch a few missile off of its coast. Despite that it was a failure, it was the final straw that broke the camel's back. In this case, it was what push Mr. Trump to recall the carrier fleet that was on its way to Australia for maintenance back to the region. In summary, Kim Jung-Un is going to be the down fall of North Korea. And in the sequencing events South Korea will suffer the most if the war does occur.

While North Korea is the biggest headache in Asia, Syria and ISIS is perhaps the biggest headache for the entire world. Without getting much into detail, Syria have caused tension to raise between United States and Russia. Mainly due to the recent Syrian Nerve Gas Attack on its civilian and the subsequent Bombing of Syrian air field. With Russia backing Syrian government and United States against it, this tension is likely to continue. Nothing major will come to this events, but it’s likely that the United States will become more involve in Syria. On the other hand, the fight with ISIS is ongoing, and there really is anything new. There was the bombing of the tunnel in Afghanistan using the MOAB (GBU-43/B Massive Ordnance Air Blast) or nickname Mother of all Bomb today. It is the biggest bomb that united States have that is non-nuclear. 11tons of TNT to be exact and it takes an AC130 plane to drop it. Whether the use of this bomb is justified, I don't know. But was it effective, Yes. Personally, I hope that there is no civilian casualty. But with the past few mission that Donald Trump ran, there seems to always be some civilian casualties.

So, what’s going on in United States? We have an idiot that’s in the oval office at the moment. I will say that I am not a support of Trump. And I will TRY to not bash him as much as I can. So what have he done since he took office. He reversed several legislation passed under president Obama. He left some major trade agreement. He despite United Nation and later reversed on he's opinion. He also reversed some Global warming related legislation. He tried to demolish Obama care, but failed. This list goes on and on. He reduced budget from several government program that he deemed un-important, and increase funding into our weapons and defense program. He has a few idiots on his cabinet, Stephen Bannon (a right wing), Kellyanne Conway (idiot that claim alternative facts), Sean Spicer (worst speaker of the house ever), and Ben Carson (a doctor running HUD? wth?). And as for Mr. Trump, the guy has no filter on tweeter and he make number of false claim about other people and think that there is no consequences. Well, the consequence is that you Mr. Trump has officially became the lowest approval rate president of the United States, in the first 100 days.

All in all, the world is in a bad place right now.
